Warehouse Move: Thank You!

That Kanata Food Cupboard cannot thank our volunteers enough for all of their time and efforts over the past four days (April 25th to April 28th, 2013) to help us move Warehouse locations. They all worked so hard, and must be commended for all that they did for the Kanata Food Cupboard, and, in turn, the surrounding community.

We would also like to thank Councillor Allan Hubley and Councillor Marianne Wilkinson for visiting our new location over the weekend, and Jessica Cunha from the Kanata Kourier for stopping by as well.

Thank you to Laura Dubois from Laura’s Your Independent Grocer (Hazeldean Mall) for providing wonderful lunches to the volunteers for each day of our move.

Thank you again, everyone, for your help!

We forward to seeing you again at 340 Legget Drive, Door #46!

Fill The Yellow Bus Drive: Thank You!

The Kanata Food Cupboard would like to thank all of you who generously donated during our Fill The Yellow Bus Drive on Saturday, April 20th, at the following four participating Kanata-based grocery stores:

  • Laura’s Your Independent Grocer (Hazeldean Mall)
  • Loblaws (Centrum)
  • SuperStore (Eagleson Road).

Of course, we’d like to thank the four grocery stores, the school bus drivers, and all of the volunteers who helped make this event such a success! We collected over 8,000 lbs of food donations, and had approximately 57 volunteers help unload the buses at our Warehouse (2 The Parkway) at the end of the day!

Thank you, everyone, for your time and efforts! It is you who made this event so successful, allowing us to continue to help out the surrounding community!
