Food for Thought fundraiser event
The Chamber of Commerce's Annual Food For Thought Fundraiser raised $2200.00 for the
Kanata Food Cupboard. Mark Reid of State Farm insurance raised an additional $1200 for
the Food Cupboard by shaving his head during the event! Thank you!
Halogen Software Food Drive - November 2009
The Zone Drop-In Youth Centre
The Zone, a service offered by the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre, is a great
place for teens and especially for those on a budget. The Zone is located at 170
Castlefrank Road. Check out the Zone and Blue Heron calendars for November and
December.

Fill the OC Transpo Bus
The Kanata Food Cupboard held a "Fill the OC Transpo Bus" event on August 29, 2009. In
total the event raised close to 3400 kgs (7480 lbs) of food and over $2800 in cash
